A note from the company's creator and owner:
Mission Statement
As
you probably know, the Spanish-speaking segment of
the US population is increasing rapidly.
You have surely
become very aware of Spanish speakers in your own community. Spanish speakers
in the US have traditionally settled in the southwest (Mexican-Americans),
Florida (51% of Miami's population is Cuban-American), and New York (Puerto
Ricans, who are US citizens). However, nowadays, there are Spanish speakers
in almost every community. Many English speakers now want to learn their language
and learn about their cultures. I've observed a very healthy shift in the
attitudes of English-speaking US citizens towards the Spanish speakers who
live in the same country. I've been so pleased with the number of people who
have asked me to teach them Spanish that I decided to start my very own company
which specializes in Spanish instruction. The recent
high interest in learning Spanish has been an inspiration to me.
Upon talking with potential students, I
learned that people want to learn Spanish for
a variety of different reasons. This is why my company specializes in
specializing! We have programs
for children and adults. We have programs which teach specific
Spanish vocabulary for different jobs. For
companies, we offer on-site seminars and courses which are customized
to fit their Spanish needs. For example, instead of teaching a company's
employees until they are proficient and fluent in Spanish, we would only
teach them the specific Spanish necessary to perform their jobs. I have
also developed a conversational Spanish Web tutorial
called WeBspañol
which teaches
practical everyday Spanish. This program is perfect for individuals
wanting to learn conversational Spanish which is not job-related.
Therefore, regardless of your age or reason for learning Spanish, Hands
on Spanish has a customized program to meet YOUR needs.
And if we don't, we'll create one!
Hands on Spanish is based in the metro-Atlanta
area. This is where our on-site clients / groups are located. However, our
individual clients stretch from sea to sea! We are also open to traveling!
After all, the owner of the company learned Spanish through travel!
