Professional Experience

Stephanie Hinton Langston is a Spanish teaching professional and entreprenuer. She is the creator, owner and manager of Hands on Spanish and is a College Spanish Instructor.

Before forming her own company, she worked as a private Spanish contractor and taught medical Spanish to doctors and nurses, and emergency Spanish to police officers, fire fighters, and emergency medical technicians. Since forming her own company, she has taught her own customized "Spanish for Pharmacists" program (approved by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education), as well as customized programs for construction employees and for children.

She has also served as voice talent for Spanish audio cassettes and as acting talent for a Spanish educational video.

Stephanie has taught a wide variety of age groups (2½ years to 70 years) through the programs above and also through her various public teaching positions. She currently teaches at the Georgia Institute of Technology and has also taught at Oxford College of Emory University and Georgia Perimeter College. She has worked with Loganville Middle School, Cedar Shoals High School and Barrow Elementary School.

Education

Stephanie is a Summa Cum Laude Graduate with Highest Honors of the University of Georgia where she was in the Honors Program. She holds a Masters Degree in Foreign Language Education (4.0 GPA), a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Spanish (4.0 GPA) and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism in Telecommunication Arts (3.97 GPA). She received several academic scholarships and belongs to the Gamma Beta Phi and Kappa Tau Alpha Honor Societies. She studied Spanish at the University of Salamanca in Salamanca, Spain and she completed her Graduate School coursework at the Forester Institute in San José, Costa Rica.
